Welcome to The Appalachian Kitchen. The idea to create this website came about in late 2015, and after much thought and planning, will become a reality in the coming weeks.

I am currently scouring my collection of over 100 cookbooks to pick out the best recipes to bring to you. I am trying to find the most authentically Appalachian recipes, and already have a pretty extensive list of recipes I want to make.

I’ve managed to accumulate over 100 cookbooks, many of which I inherited from my husband’s grandmother.

New content will be coming soon, and The Appalachian Kitchen is available on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. Like the Facebook page and follow us on our other social media accounts to never miss a recipe or update.

      Thanks, Jackie! I’ve worked really hard on getting the layout of the page perfected.

      I will be cooking, photographing, and getting posts ready this weekend. In the future, I would like to post at least 3 recipes a week. I’m glad you liked the banana bread recipe!
